I feel pleased and honored that six of my images have been chosen for inclusion in the 2023 edition of “International Contemporary Masters Volume 15”, scheduled for release July of 2023.
Ode to Wynn Bullock
On my last trip to Colorado to visit my son Zachary, he took me to this old silver mine way off the beaten path. It turned out that it is one of the most photographed sites in Colorado. In trying to create a unique take of my own I took a page from the famed photographer Wynn Bullock who often place a tasteful nude figure in an unusual place. You will notice that in the very top level of the mine the back of a female nude can be seen.

On the Vineyard
This image of a woman on the beach on Martha’s Vineyard is a monochrome, printed through a piece of textured glass and hand-painted with watercolors. It is scanned for output in a signed limited edition to assure that archival inks are used to assure that it lasts, without fading (as watercolors often do).

Apple in Autumn
At the edge of a field in the North Country town of Jefferson, New Hampshire sits a lone apple tree, probably what might be referred to as a “feral” apple - since apple trees are technically invasive or domestic, having been brought to most places by human hands, beginning with Johnny “Applseed” Chapman. I’ve never been someone who obsessed about “invasive” species. Ultimately, everything is invasive - especially humans. This abstraction of that scene is part of a series created from a single image abstracted in multiple ways.
