Windblown Skirt
Captured on the streets of Dakar Senegal late on a windy afternoon. Two young girls were standing on a small ledge of a very interesting building that had a red wall morphing into a mottled white and brown wall. Suddenly a breeze rose up from the ocean catching the light fabric of one girl's blue dress and creating a beautiful arc. To my good fortune, I had been taking photos of the two girls as they stood there before the breeze came up so I was positioned perfectly to capture this moment. The original image had the two girls shown completely (below) - a perfectly sweet and normal image - but the final image cropped out everything except the bottoms of their skirts against the backdrop of the building. The print is available in a signed limited edition of 10 (only 2 remaining) but also available - unsigned - as an open edition.
